QV Feed Antenna
Overview
The QV Feed Antenna (XH-ANT-QV-230317) is a high-performance spaceborne spot beam antenna system designed for QV-band satellite communication payloads. It integrates a reflector antenna, two-axis pointing mechanism, rotary joint, waveguide components, latching/release device, thermal control, and a VPX 6U servo controller into a compact system (≤550×500×400 mm retracted, ≤5.9 kg total). The antenna covers the downlink band 37.5–40.0 GHz and uplink band 47.2–49.2 GHz, delivering >40 dBi gain with RHCP downlink and LHCP uplink polarization. Auto-tracking range is ±55° on both X and Y axes with ≤0.15° pointing accuracy. TX/RX isolation is ≥25 dB and axial ratio ≤1.5 dB within 3 dB bandwidth. Radiation hardened to ~43 kRad(Si) TID with a design lifetime of 7 years and >500,000 pointing mechanism rotations. Power consumption is ≤20 W standby and ≤52 W working from a +42 V supply.
